Blue Roses

Blue roses do not exist naturally. Many of those sold at the florists are actually white roses dyed blue. I have read that this is the only colour that plant breeders have difficulty in getting. A blue rose is rare indeed. Since 2004, an Australian company Florigene and a Japanese company Suntory had successfully created the blue rose by genetic engineering after 13 years of collaboration. The meaning of red roses:

Rosebuds symbolises beauty, youth and a heart innocent of love. The message is, "You are young and beautiful, pure and lovely".

Roses symbolize sincere love, respect, courage and passion.

A single rose in full bloom signifies simplicity, the message is "I Love You!"

Rose leaves are symbols of hope.
