Citrus medica - Citron

Light : full sun
Soil : Well-drain and aerated
Water : Regular
Prune : For shape and to encourage new growth and blooms
Propagate : Seeds or grafting

Features : Aromatic smalll tree
The citron was already cultivated in Mesopotamia before 500BC. Citron fruits are usually oval to rounded in shape and turn from green to a golden yellow when riped. There  is a variety of citron plants; "fingered citron" or "Buddha's hand citron" that produces bizarre looking fruits segmented into fingers.

I like the citron tea, "yujacha" (柚子茶) served at Korean restaurants.
