Common name: Mexican Bluebells, Mexican Petunia, Florida Bluebells, Spanish Ladies

How to grow :
Light : Full sun to partial shade
Soil : Well-drained
Water : Water regularly as it requires lots of water
Propagate : Cuttings or seeds. They tend to self-seed easily in Malaysia.

Features :
There are 2 distinct varieties:
1. The compact or dwarf variety of about 30 cm tall. This variety self seeds easily
2. The variety with longer shoots and leaves the plant is taller, i.e. grow to about 1 m tall. The local council has planted many of these plants along road dividers and roundabouts.

Both are suitable as bedding plants. This plant attracts butterflies.

  1. There also have a pink and white color of dwarf Ruellia. Mine only blue.
