Hibiscus moscheutos 'Disco Belle Pink'



Scientific name: Hibiscus moscheutos 'Disco Belle' cultivars

 Common name: Hardy Hibiscus, Rose Mallow, Swamp Mallow
Family: Malvaceae
Origin: Eastern and northern North America

Category: Evergreen free flowering shrub

The blooms are the size of a dinner plate with sizes 15-22cm diameter. They usually close by mid afternoon. Grow in full sun in rich and moist, well-drained soil. It can tolerate wet soil but the soil should not be soggy.

  3. I think we call these althea. I have one in my yard, so it's nice to know that they are hibiscus. Isn't cotton also hibiscus. I have a Confederate Rose as well that is similar. Beautiful blog! Just joined to follow your flowers.
