Light : Full sun
Soil : Sandy to loamy
Water : Drought-tolerant when established, infrequent deep watering
Maintenance :  Periodic removal and clean-up of dried fronds and fruits dropped
Propagate : Seeds

Features
The palm tree is suitable for planting as a roadside tree or skyline tree and for the desert/oasis effect. It is a slow-growing tree, reaching a height of about 10 ft (3m) in 15 years. Canary Island palms can grow to a height of about 40-60ft (12-18 m) tall and a spread of 20-40ft (6-12m) wide.

  1. The phoenix at any angle and morphology looks like a cycas, i wonder if it's also with the family.

    1. Andrea, they do have many physical similarities but cycas are classified under the Zamiaceae family.
