Plectranthus 'Mona Lavender'


Scientific name: Plectranthus 'Mona Lavender' 
Common name: Mona Lavender, Lavender Spur Flower
Family: Lamiaceae (mint family)

Origin:  This is a hybrid developed in the late 1990s by Roger Jaques at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden in Cape Town, South Africa.

How to grow:
Grow under filtered light but will bloom better under the full sun. Shade tolerant plant. The medium should be rich, moist and well-draining. Water regularly, up to twice a day. Propagate by division of clumps or by cuttings. 
Use in beds and borders on the ground or in containers. Can grow to about 2 ft tall.

Ia digelar pokok mona lavender sebab bunga-bunganya yang kecil, berkelompok dan berwarna unggu seakan-akan bunga lavender, tetapi tidak berbau. Kelopak bunga berwarna unggu muda dengan bintik-bintik warna unggu tua. Terdapat bulu-bulu halus di atas daun dan tangkai.
